I developed a full stack web application with a team of 6 software engineers. We used the MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, and Node) stack. This was my first project working with a larger group of people and it has been such a great learning experience.
I am the proud product owner for our application, Aura. Our mission with Aura is to provide our users with businesses and locations to visit based off of a user's preference in ambiance. Aura is a web application similar to Yelp, but we focus on a more streamlined and refined user flow. The world is moving at a fast pace and people like getting results quickly.
Our team has been working in Agile and Scrum in one week sprints. At the beginning of the week I come to the team with a list of tasks to complete and we have our storytelling. Our Scrum Master puts these tasks on the backlog of our Kanban Board. We have a discuss who wants to take on what tasks and work on that throughout the week.
At the beginning of each day we have our stand ups where we discuss what we have completed, what we are going to work on, and if anything is blocking us. On Friday's we have our retrospective and we discuss what went well for us during the week as well as our velocity.
